Debra Navarro's Watu Collection showcases responsibly sourced, natural gemstone rough—uncut and unpolished stones, carefully handpicked during her travels through East Africa. Each design draws inspiration from the vibrant bursts of color in the region's earthy landscapes, complemented by warm, earth-toned diamonds set in 18k recycled gold. "Watu," meaning "people" in Swahili, lies at the heart of this collection. It's not just about the gemstones but the people who have profoundly touched Debra's life. Each piece is named to honor one of these individuals, allowing their stories to grow with the collection. A signature feature of many stones is the Tenda cut, a flat facet with a Swahili meaning of "doing good to someone."
